Potential Returns

Residential property provides investors with two main forms of return; rental income and appreciation in property value.

Currently the average property investor could expect returns of:

- A rental income of 6 – 8% of the value of your property (these figures include deductions for Northumbrian Properties Ltd’s management fees, and an estimated cost of annual repairs/maintenance).

- An average annualised increase in property value of up to 6.3% over the longer term. This is based on home.com‘s “House Prices Report for Northumberland – August 1995 to August 2022” which shows an average property value increase of 350% for all housing types, and 428% for terraced housing, over the period. The latest gov.uk housing price index shows Northumberland house prices rose 11.3% in the 12 months to August 2022.

- Combined these 2 streams of return could provide the average property investor in Northumberland with upto 14.3% average annualised returns on their investment.
